The architects of kluge retail.brand.architecture followed the idea of huge LightClouds floating above the stand site. These key elements serve as basis for the three-dimensional brand representation, structure the stand space and create a high name recognition of both Regiolux and lichtwerk.

We used versatility as a conceptual frame. A low-definition modular design complemented with an external semi-transparent digital printed fabric skin. The modular elements are easily reusable giving shape to ever new display spaces and the fabric skin is a communicating surface providing always new messages and identity. Adopting semi-transparent walls to display solid ceramic surfaces was a challenge.

The use of wood for the framework, or the approximately 900 carefully selected plant species in lush green, which have been decoratively placed, take up the vision of the young brand. The green oasis with urban flair presents in the interior a Heritage Wall, which shows the history of the brand in a creative and vivid way.

One side of the stand held the product for customers to try and buy. The flip side of the stand had a selfie wall where customers held up speech bubble signage in front of a pink brick-effect wall. There was also a giant giveaway spinner, giving customers the chance to spin the wheel to win Pink-branded products.

Durstone & Q stand at Cevisama 2018 by VXLAB, Valencia – Spain

This bar is a structural component with an aesthetic function but it also works as a practical meeting point for visitors and costumers. In essence, the stand presents a cohesive space that showcases the main product line, Durstone, as well as the company’s “Q” collection, focusing on youthful and contemporary styles.

The main display was located in a construction inspired by modern mountain shelters. It consists of two joints cabins with characteristic sloped roofs. Its façade was covered with dark wood, often seen in traditional mountain architecture. The interior walls were, in contrast, lined with pine plywood, which gave it a feeling of warmth.

The timber structure employs a natural material in a gravity-defying linear pattern, with mirror-clad vertical columns camouflaging the support system and creating the illusion of transparency and levity. At the same time, one side of the timber slats are painted in a gradation of hues which are only revealed as the viewer’s perspective revolves around the structure.
