Milkland pop-up ice cream by Ryusuke Nanki, Tokyo – Japan

At the ice cream counter (also covered in cow print), customers buy soft-served ice cream or sweets made from milk and head to the floor above. The cow pattern continues on to this floor where a life-size model of a cow blends in with the black-and-white pattern. Beside it, a large toppings bar awaits for the customers to choose their own combinations of fixings for their sweets.

To give greater lightness to the tuff are conceived simple black hangers surmounted by small square, rectangular or circular shelves.

Although the space is not large, the effect of making gates that light up the entire line and the gray mirror which is used on the closet made the space visually large enough. For the reception counter and the set stand of the symbolic elements of this salon were created by combining mortar and solid wood to leave a sense of each texture and finished it into a simple design with a solid feeling.

The rectangular desks are randomly placed in the space, some are scattered in the office, and some are piled up in the meeting area. They seem like modular matchboxes that can be assembled freely, which change the stereotyped impression of a rigid office. The irregular black and the original wood color of the table are matched with each other very well, and the steel grids not only filter the dazzling sunlight, but also the impetuousness, and only leave behind the deep and endless inspiration and wisdom.

Hanging channels from the ceiling created an open floor plan for the office such that if the movable boards were not in use the entire office was a single spatial entity. The idea-lounge at the heart of the space has two casual living room arrangements to encourage teamwork.

The colors are based on clear contrasts of white and black enriched with walnut veneer giving the interior elegance. Bevels and oblique lines appearing in a number of design elements are distinctive. The interior is enriched with vibrant colors of furniture and green walls contrasting with monochromaticity of the entire assumption.

The interior designers at Brand Creative approached the Abu Dhabi concept by incorporating areas of high contrast, combining classic black marquina & white volakas marble with complimenting finishes such as black slate, illuminated stone and chrome. The astounding circular stairwell allows easy access to the breath-taking rooftop which has exceptional views of the Sea Point surroundings. Made of strongly curved steel coated in black and floated on a marble plinth, the stairwell was designed to “make the journey to this area of the apartment more profound, thanks to the introduction of a sculptural element”.

A round eight-seater dining table with a copper disc on top of black stained timber is situated at the intersection between the entrance and main dining space. Haldane Martin’s new Sim-Ply dining chairs in grey leather and red lacquer surround the dining table. The table is framed by a four-tiered brass halo ring chandelier overhead – a contemporary expression of a traditional farmhouse candle chandelier.

The biggest challenge was to find solution with ceiling with different height of six meters. That was solved with structural metal construction connected with lightning – that not only created eye catching view in the front of the shop but has formed lower ceiling as well.

The design is derived from the name of the hotel and the character of the city. The »Domizil« (= home) exudes a good feeling, resulting in a bright mood and rousing confidence. The peaceful effect of the Neckar River and its colours are incorporated into a harmonious concept.

The harmony of masculine black and ruggedness forms abackdrop, in the center of which sits a cool circular structure expressing the infinite variability that Lost Garden aspires to. This circular structure delivers the brand message in an eye catching manner, rotating 360 degrees around its center with images of Lost Garden’s products being projected on it.
