Heavenly Bodies exhibition by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, New York City

While the modern and contemporary fashion objects are enlivened by their proximity to their sources of reference (and inspiration), the papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy are presented in an abstract setting, in display furnitures that respond to the qualities of each object. This visual ‘decontextualization’ gives precedence to their magnificent physicality and otherworldly craftsmanship.

Bolshevik identity by Apus Agency

Brand main colours became open red and black – as reference to post-revolutionary posters graphic. Coppery-gold tone on black field fleshed graphics out. As a result, Apus Agency obtained chastity and laconism, which were clear to their target audience, and continued rich familiar image of historical place.

The main display was located in a construction inspired by modern mountain shelters. It consists of two joints cabins with characteristic sloped roofs. Its façade was covered with dark wood, often seen in traditional mountain architecture. The interior walls were, in contrast, lined with pine plywood, which gave it a feeling of warmth.

The fish-shed pattern of the paravents is lasered out of oak layers and was especially developed by the designers. As a separative element, the paravents define the restaurant’s character and its tripartite spatial structure: Bar and Lunch area, Open-Restaurant and Fine Dining.
