Each bulb was handblown and sandblasted to form an organic shape, while the stands were given minimalist forms with varying heights. Semi-precious stones were chosen for their resemblance to natural landscapes, and included black tourmaline, emerald beryl and crystal quartz.

Hermès collections at Milan Design Week, Milan – Italy

These seven monolithic and monochrome ‘Houses’ conceived by Charlotte Macaux Perelman and Alexis Fabry offer visitors an immersive experience, a dip in color to discover the Hermès home collection. Scenography designed by Hervé Sauvage plays up the graphic symbol of the square with rolls of paper drawn by hand that act as a background to the objects.

The ceiling shapes a unique geometric cloud through a metal frame formed with a diameter of 2.5mm. This metal frame makes the golden cloud full with air and penetrated by lights, hence interesting tension is produced by the paradox between heavy gold and light cloud.

Nagami 3D-printed chairs by Zaha Hadid Architects

The two chairs are built from polylactic acid plastic – a biodegradable, non-toxic material made from renewable resources like corn-starch, making it both lightweight and sturdy. Featuring a curved seat supported by a large, singular base, both pieces were 3D-printed with a pellet-extruder, which uses raw plastic particles rather than filaments.
