The space is neatly parted by black and white colors, where the two colors interacts with each other in various ways. Lights covered with black globes are attached to the white ceiling using ordered black lines, while black wires are bended to form some “fashion quotes” on the white wall.

As the studies on reading behaviour, the C-shaped shelves are devised as the module. Shelves of varied length stacking in space generate a complex and bursting book wall just like the multi-dimensional space illustrates in scenes of Interstellar. People can experience horizontal reading when receiving information from different directions at the same time.

A very futuristic geometric sense of the interior filled with red and black hitting the tone, red symbolizes passion and explosive while black is distributed calm and restrained gas field. The perceptual blood grows in the rational enclosure, and the two colors are balanced in confrontation.

The colors used are white and dove gray. The counter at the entrance is illuminated at the bottom, while behind it, on the wall, extends the logo, which is also illuminated. A thin perforated wall separates the seats and the various rooms. Lights distributed equally in the long entrance that accompanies the rooms.

Medly Pharmacy by Sergio Mannino Studio, New York City

Pops of mint and light aqua accentuate the brightness of the intriguingly bare pharmacy, with by a mint-coloured mesh wall and doorway separating the retail area from the back area where the prescriptions are organized and packaged. A cheeky pill motif in the floor tiles echoes the Medly-brand packaging selectively displayed on the shelves, while a large green-dipped cement counter in front of the mesh wall supports relational exchanges between pharmacist and patient.

Bar Elce is a welcoming place where brown tones prevail, alternating with the blue of the counter. The seats are in light wood and the stools are dark as the ceiling. Comfortable beige sofas invite guests to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Original warm light lamps descend from the ceiling.

White, terrazzo and brass are key materials in the interior space. Concise white sets off the structure of brass tube, terrazzo material extended from the ground to the wall waist line. There are curved arc terrazzo on both sides of the entrance, as if both hands stretched out to welcome customers.

Open House by Klein Dytham Architecture, Bangkok – Thailand

Instead of occupying one box-like retail unit, Open House’s bookstore weaves its way throughout the entire Open House space. A tall book shelf has been installed at one end of the space, while a large double-height library wall wraps around the other. Smaller book shelves with integrated seating are scattered throughout, blending into the bar and restaurant spaces so people can browse at their leisure.

A new set of vintage display tables was introduced to fill the floor space, attaching with low displaying units such as trunks and antique small tables for a dual display system. The iconic grayish mosaic is used in this shop in combination with the dark walnut wooden flooring in order to create the different zoning.
