ZHA pavilion takes inspiration from the distinctive motif that wraps around the corner of Il Makiage packaging, manifesting as a sequence of folded monochrome structural ribbons alternating between gloss and matt surfaces.

Joana João store by Kube Arquitetura, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil

The clothes are exposed hanged by those ribbons, which have 5 different colors varying from shades of blue and green, over the walls in different heights so they all can be seen.
In the middle of the store there are tables and seats made of wood with details in orange tapes, which are also used to compose the products exposition.

The Estrutura de S. João was a result of the Workshop for the event Acorda! in the Design Institute of Guimarães. The result of this installation reinterprets the typical party decoration S. João, bringing together the hanging ribbons, S. João balloons and fireworks.

Melissa flagship store by Blu Water Studio, Kuala Lumpur

In order to achieve a mold to suit Melissa’s flexible shoes, Blu Water explored the shapes and outcome of compressing sheets and peeling layers. The peeling effect is apparent on the right side of the shop where, make-believe layers of sheets are peeled off the wall forming shelving for the display of the brand’s colourful product.

Bahia Chair by 20age

The following vintage chair called the Bahia Chair was created by 20age. It was reupholstered in yellow velvet cord and yellow and green checked cotton. The buttons are turquoise. On the back, 20age placed 5000 Brazilian ribbons. According to 20age, these ribbons are a lucky charm in Brazil. You can be sure that this amazing chairs is as comfortable as it’s stylish.

Macy’s Oakbrook Womens Shoe Department, Oakbrook (A.R.E Awards)

A 15,400-square-foot shop within a shop, Macy’s women’s shoe department features curvilinear aisles and fixtures that set a central hub for Macy’s Impulse brand and serve as the focal point of the floor plan. Merchandise categories are separated into “rooms” using transparent architectural screen dividers, creating “lifestyle rooms.”
