Voda Swim store by MW Design, Taipei – Taiwan

The white wooden frames extend to the white brick wall unevenly on both sides of the store. It was inspired by the waves hitting the shore and then back into the ocean. The whole store uses only white colored materials to highlight the products.

Neutral coloured materials, like wood and subway tiles are used to achieve the ambiance and bring the contemporary feel to the space. A hint of soft pink is also used to bring a touch of feminism.

The shelves that are used to display and promote the products have been positioned in the periphery of the store, in a way that is convenient for the customers to spot effectively the product that they seek.

Forbo Flooring showroom by Pope Wainwright & Wykes, London – UK

The Forbo space stands out from the other white, minimalistic showrooms around Clerkenwell in London, with black walls and a strong use of the brand colour blue. An arrangement of staggered lighting is designed to draw the customer through the space, towards the back of the showroom with a sole blue wall boldly framing Forbo’s logo.

Chocólatras Kiosk by Studio Cinque, Porto Alegre – Brazil

The project is monochromatic in tones of chocolate and black, with some of the brand’s more vibrant colors incorporated into the visual communication. To speak to chocolate lovers in a more direct fashion, the kiosk was decorated with images of their range of products along with sentences that invite the client to indulge.

Pernod Ricard offices by Creative Spaces, Auckland – New Zealand

Careful consideration was given to the acoustics, knowing that floor shared two common atriums and had very few walls. Quilted fabric wraps the partition behind reception and hanging baffles visually lead people through the space whilst providing a secondary sound absorber.

For the material system, we decided to use natural wash furniture and emulsified paint to create textures. Key colors are gray-black and white-wash wood. All are combined with black painted iron piped legs.

One of the most significant challenges about the project was dealing with a small space and maximizing its utilization for displaying products. All in accordance with the sculptural element in the space center, that is used to display products, as well with the store’s back wall which is glazed with stained glass .

The overall quiet coloration of gray, white and a touch of paint and wood are a flattering environment to all types of products. Extra-large format floor tiles of 100X300 cm help calm down the distracting “visual noise” that is so characteristic to these types of halls – and so does the monochromatic display devices.

A black and white color palette combined with wooden fixtures becomes a neutral background for the specialty products and ingredients to shine. Vintage hand-painted graphics on black wall tiles add to the welcoming atmosphere of this neighborhood grocery store.

Dyson Demo store by Wilkinson Eyre & Dyson, London – UK

The products are displayed across two floors linked by a glowing backlit white glass stair. The upper floor is set back to provide a double-height entrance space, while the mezzanine incorporates a glazed balustrade balanced on a sharp chamfered soffit — allowing visual connections from the first floor across to Oxford street and Selfridges.

Emphasis was placed on the footwear wall with specific focus on flexibility through the use of a custom peg wall system. By introducing glorifier boxes on the peg wall, various feature products can be displayed alongside brand specific magnetic graphics.
