With a simple design in all its elements, the furniture for the exhibition, we imagine it in natural oak wood, which embraced the two walls of the premises and with two types of showcases, similar in capacity, which are integrated into the oak slats on one side and arranged in cubes of white lacquered wood, which emerge from a wall of mirrors, in the other.

For the design of Sneaker District Antwerp, Barde + vanVoltt were inspired by sneaker design, the neighborhood and how sneakers are made. This resulted in a stand-out store showcasing a strong dark grey base on top of a concrete floor combining color, different materials, a touch of nature and some savvy street styles.

The interior combines industrial materials with a sophisticated palette of pink, green, blue and yellow. A thick pale-pink stripe surges down the centre of the concrete floor, topped by assemblages of geometrically shaped fixtures that elevate the products with colour.

Storage is provided by matching pink cabinetry, while lighting in the ceiling illuminates the volume at night. Inside the restaurant has been completed almost entirely in dark grey terrazzo with oversized white aggregate, which the architects used to create an “extreme visual experience”.

More than 900 PET plastic bottles have been reused, rather than the usual fate of being thrown away in the environment, and transformed into delicate flowers. Hanging from the ceiling in wired modules, a total of 2,500 small flowers were individually hand painted in gold, nude pink and white by craft artist Rita Aranha, granting the personality and visual identity of the brand.

One side of the stand held the product for customers to try and buy. The flip side of the stand had a selfie wall where customers held up speech bubble signage in front of a pink brick-effect wall. There was also a giant giveaway spinner, giving customers the chance to spin the wheel to win Pink-branded products.

Neutral, white walls to highlight the design of coat racks and shelves, where part of the product hangs and is exposed, with a curved metal structure lacquered in a copper tone. With a completely open facade, the retail space of almost 90m2 is divided into two areas, a more open area right at the entrance with a casual fashion product and a more intimate contiguous space where the product is more focused on special moments and events.
