CityHub hotel by Studio Modijefsky, Rotterdam – Netherlands

The interior design of the new CityHub Rotterdam connects the building and its inhabitants with both the street outside and the city beyond. Its gradient colours spilling out, drawing attention to the bustling digital lobby and vibrant hangout while also giving a glimpse to private hubs and lives that lie above.

Inspired by sound waves, an exciting sculptural ‘sound wall’ sits in the building’s reception area – establishing a strong and immediate wow factor to anybody who visits. The visual elements work aesthetically and acoustically towards transforming sound waves into physical form and bringing sound to life visually for an emotional and uplifting experience highlighting sound as a visual.

The Employee Floor was designed around the notions of discovery and mobility with the work areas laid out organically into neighborhoods around the periphery of the floor. To create a hospitable environment central hubs were created in close proximity to everyone to allow for a space to relax, connect, communicate, and collaborate.
