The two big pillars from the original structure didn’t create difficulty, but opportunities for the design. The whole space strived to create a “light” feeling. Geometric figures and small top lights form an exceptional ceiling.

The space is neatly parted by black and white colors, where the two colors interacts with each other in various ways. Lights covered with black globes are attached to the white ceiling using ordered black lines, while black wires are bended to form some “fashion quotes” on the white wall.

The lighting was cut in an angle of 45°, and now it connects each functional space and extends to the vertical surfaces, and the shadow which seems to be projected from the ceiling in discussion area is a kind of such extension. As a core of the design, the ceiling has gray and white colors.

As the studies on reading behaviour, the C-shaped shelves are devised as the module. Shelves of varied length stacking in space generate a complex and bursting book wall just like the multi-dimensional space illustrates in scenes of Interstellar. People can experience horizontal reading when receiving information from different directions at the same time.

Oriental Vision Flagship store by Prospace Asia, Guangzhou – China

A Simple geometric pattern was used as a key design feature that was applied to various screens and lamps within the store to create the dominate design language. This language provided both visual and tactile interest and through its use of materials such a gold plating and gamboge yellow; it allowed areas such as the sunglasses wall to become a focus in the store to drive interest and sales.

Work-Studio in a Plant-House by O-office Architects, Guangzhou – China

The space was designed to house a local landscape design firm. The architect planned to construct an intimate and small-village-like work environment under the plant-house’s original building skin, maintaining the natural daylight and ventilation in the new working cluster to achieve a low-energy-cost green spatial infill.

Titled “transparent shell”, the installation comprises 30 main bone models and three groups of large curves, which are built by multiple layers of woven transparent film. These undulating layers take on an organic and sinuous form, creating a variety of functional spaces, such as an entrance, wall, ceiling, window, desktop and seating area.
