Peepou store by Adoro Arquitetura, Rio de Janeiro – Brazil

More than 900 PET plastic bottles have been reused, rather than the usual fate of being thrown away in the environment, and transformed into delicate flowers. Hanging from the ceiling in wired modules, a total of 2,500 small flowers were individually hand painted in gold, nude pink and white by craft artist Rita Aranha, granting the personality and visual identity of the brand.

The white boards are slightly raised on one side, to sit on top of a stone wall that belongs to the promontory the village has grown around. This stone also remains visible around the edge on the floor of the space, while granite tiles cover the rest.

The storefront façade consists of large glass windows trimmed in polished mahogany and brass and creates a contemporary, yet luxurious presence. Black granite floor tiles are etched in gold with the distinguished ZILLI logo and help frame the entrance.
