Shi Bi Shou packaging

The outer packing special structure in open box shows the fish head and tail, the feeling of being found that in time to share with people. When the packaging is pulled out, the inner packaging graphic design with the outer packing are hollow-out the scales made from cut out shapes, forming a flashing effect in the “scales”.

The front section of Hunan Slurp features a seemingly inserted cage-like structure of slatted wood that lays bare the building’s original brick walls. Briefly interrupted by a section of white plastered walls, the slatted wood cage continues to the far end where white plastered walls re-emerge.

The restaurant is filled with rough unprocessed surfaces – complex brickwork, metal parts, concrete columns. Since this is a purely fish restaurant, many decoration details directly refer to the topic. Allusions associated with marine themes appear in the large shelving with three-level aquariums, in the large bar open window where the fresh fish is cooked in front of the guests, and even in the glazed monochrome tile behind the bar, colored like seawater with algae.

The two floor space with 120 covers features a ground floor storefront for take-away orders and a gin bar, while the upstairs kid-friendly space boasts a series of small beach huts where the fish and chips are served in buckets with a sand shovels.
