Alongside Tracey Deep’s suspended floral structures that feature native flora, Jacqui Fink’s merino-wool sculpture hangs from the ceiling like skeins of seaweed floating beneath the ocean’s surface.

Besides extending this geometric pattern to the design of our display installations, we also customized the lighting within the shop to accentuate the 3D patterns and used a minimalistic colour palette on the ceiling, wall, furnishings and floor tiles to create a conducive clutter-free environment.

Akiba Dori by Samer Hamadeh, Dubai – UAE

Akiba Dori features seven unique storefronts serving Japanese street food, baked goods, coffee, a bar serving everything from Japanese beer to bottles of wine, a pizzeria named Tokyopolitan which serves Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizzas baked in a wood fired oven, and last but not least, a full-fledged arcade room for some old skool fun and banter.

The sense of luxury is further boosted by a number of artworks and mirror-effect furniture, such as the Galet table by Guillaume Piechaud and Maria Pergay’s Gerbe table. The Dior Homme section shows full understatement and a matching palette of materials and colours that’s embellished by shiny chrome finishings.

It’s divided into two levels and is entirely furnished in light blue damask with matching chairs and carpet, evoking a feeling of femininity and harmony. Large mirrors stretching from the floor to the ceiling complete the decoration.

To reflect the traditions of making a rice dough, we used a wooden barrel as tables with a real rice grains inside. And to complete the overall concept, the bamboo rods were used as a ceiling feature with dimming technology that changes the café mood every minute. It delivers an exceptional piece and creates an instagrammable moment.

Using hues of blue and turquoise with neutral greys and white, the office feels light and fresh, inviting and energizing. The carpet is a strong element with geometrical patterns taking precedence as it is combined with playful shades of light blue. The motivational and inspirational graphics on the walls allow of a relaxed environment where work and collaboration are always celebrated and encouraged.

We created an industrial looking space, with an open ceiling, concrete flooring, a shipping container which houses the meeting rooms, and playful lighting features. In keeping with the budget at hand, we wanted to create something that is low cost but still looks cool and is practical.

The focal point of the entire theme park interior is the giant model of Burj Khalifa hanging upside down from the top ceiling till the floor. 4SPACE started the initial concept sketch with the upside down Burj Khalifa and this was the most thought-provoking part of the entire project.

The interior is inspired by the magnetic and wild beauty of the Australian coastline, where amazing shades of emerald green water interplay with sand, stone, and massive and raw cliffs. The designers take the customer through a journey, applying the brand’s claim from “Ocean to Plate” by building up layers of ocean-inspired storytelling.

Al Hamidieh Restaurant at Marsa Al Seef by 4SPACE Design, Dubai – UAE

The restaurant interior design will be most likely comparable to the traditional alleys of old Damascus. All these elements enhance and reflect the ancient bazaar theme in a contemporary setting. As an imitation of the original design of the souk, the ceiling features a patterned arched iron rips that shelter the restaurant space.

The concept narrative revolves around androgyny. A design that is not about being ‘pretty’ but embraces both masculine and feminine characteristics of beauty. It’s designed for a woman that is confident, someone who is on a same level playing field with a man. She can wear trainers or suit and still feel beautiful. The furniture within the space was carefully selected to reflect this.
