The kiosque facades can be easily removed in order to create various configurations according to the weather conditions. The facades once removed create architectural interests within the space furthering the design language.

The decision was therefore taken to reference Manchester’s industrial heritage, focusing on cotton and textiles, employing a range of evocative elements including photographic abstracts of 19th century tools and large-scale bespoke artworks. Improving the logistics of the space – increasing the number of covers while making it easier for staff to move around – was of paramount importance.

Mings Dim Sum restaurant at Crown Casino by Red Design Group, Melbourne

Experimental in concept, Mings Dim Sum is a new gaming and wonton restaurant offer occupying its own exclusive space on Crown’s first floor. Traces of the previous Sante buffet are long gone, except for a wall mural installation by renowned graphic artist, the late David Band.
