Directly from the outdoor stairs, first stepping into the light forest on the second floor. Under the soft lighting of the light ceiling, the matte PVC pipe encloses a circular dining hall and two private dining room surrounded by polycarbonate panels. Circular, diffuse lighting, white tones make you losing sense of texture, scale, and direction to this space.

The use of dark timber in the restaurant compliments the overall vision of Kaito’s design and reflects the mood of dining in Japan’s hidden bars. Feature bulkhead frames are inspired by the simplicity of Japanese lifestyle which frames the parameter of the sushi train.

While the modern and contemporary fashion objects are enlivened by their proximity to their sources of reference (and inspiration), the papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy are presented in an abstract setting, in display furnitures that respond to the qualities of each object. This visual ‘decontextualization’ gives precedence to their magnificent physicality and otherworldly craftsmanship.

A space that transmitted the Italian origin from the product for sale needed to be designed, including its traditional elements and natural ingredients. The space above required to remind to the past, but through a modern aesthetic. Due to this since the beginning Masquespacio opted to use tiles with an artisan aspect, besides a range of elements like the golden bar lamps and arcs with mirrors that remember us to the traditional bars from the ancient Italy.

Black forest trees are used in reference to Gaggenau’s German heritage at the core of a stripped-back, clean yet technical aesthetic – also reflected in the products.

A round eight-seater dining table with a copper disc on top of black stained timber is situated at the intersection between the entrance and main dining space. Haldane Martin’s new Sim-Ply dining chairs in grey leather and red lacquer surround the dining table. The table is framed by a four-tiered brass halo ring chandelier overhead – a contemporary expression of a traditional farmhouse candle chandelier.

A completely new building was built in the space where the service rooms used to be to house the rest of the guest rooms: Blue, Green, Pink and Yellow which are vertically arranged around the central patio.
