SNOOZZ Cafe by davidsign, Oradea – Romania

We painted part of the walls and the ceiling in dark grey to add contrast and intimacy to the atmosphere. For warmth, we opted for the wooden finishes of the tables & chairs, paired with the soft, textured fabric that hugs the chairs.

As the unusual sounding name suggests, the 1500-square metre area consists of three parts: The office for some of the roughly 240 staff members, the shop for designer furniture from Knoblauch’s own production or from well-known brands, and the semi-public café.

The Budapest Café is designed to feel feminine, light and fun, despite its loftiness and exposed structure. A pink ball pool, neon signage and original Eero Aarnio Bubble chair inspire playfulness, and the bathrooms surprise with speckled pink terrazzo to complement and contrast with the nostalgic-green hues of the café.

The first floor lets the sunlight in by using the large French windows, through the plants on the window to show mottled patterns on the ground, scattered seats and bars are in the sun, the ceilings are separated orderly by wooden grille, not only the sense of form is strong, but also it can make focusing, with warm lights to create the effect of indoor warm sun.

The concept design makes a reference to traditional Parisian bistros of 20’s in combination with chic style features which create a mostly contemporary result full of “story narrations”. The basic materials which are used within design are white chevron tile, oak wood, chess tiles and colors such as pale beige, vivid turquoise, white and red – Bordeaux.

The positioning for Yeotown Kitchen was defined as ‘a mindful food experience’, inspired by the laidback, healthy feel of LA whilst alluding to the the serene nature of the Yeotown British coastal lifestyle. Brand Creative went on to develop the concept from their Dubai studio, combining natural textures with bright pops of colour to envisage a modern, health-conscious city retreat.

La Floraison by Vie Studio, Sydney – Australia

A classic shopfront of clean frames and glazing are used to draw patrons in, allowing an opportunity to get a glimpse of the interior before entering. The façade uses darker tones to introduce a sense of masculinity to contrast the feminine floral motifs.

The area allocated for this space was the parking lot of the building. We wanted to create a covered yet open space that could be used not only by the smokers but also by other employees for a coffee break.

White quartz countertops allow for ample work and display areas for baristas. Existing concrete floors were ground and polished and tie into the lobby’s floors for a seamless transition. Built-in menu boards, cork walls, custom walnut casework and tables, and brass trim complete the detail package.
