Bold shapes combined with a discord of colour and minimal type gave the line a nod and a push into the Pacific Northwest essence we wanted to achieve, but without the predictability. Printed on flat laminated labels with a metalized bopp added sheen and created a subtle effect with a bold impact when the light hit it just right.

We looked at its history and traditions, particularly the rituals of brewing and tasting. This is all reflected on the layout and finishes of the store. The big departure from tradition is in the customer journey. There is no conventional counter: customers are allowed access to all parts of the store.

Furniture height is set below the waist height to keep out of sight; and floor and ceiling are finished with the same materials as the common area to erase the boundary between the shop and the common area, allowing the space to extend beyond to create a cafe that serves the entire facility.

We worked closely with the Two Beers team to define a new look that was clean, modern, and connected to the Pacific NW outdoor lifestyle. It was important that the beer name be highly readable and that the cans and bottles would ‘pop off the shelf’ next to the competition.
