Questto|Nó Headquarters by Studio dLux, São Paulo – Brazil

From the inside garden built next to the entrance, a pink bench emerges and runs alongside the room, passing through the coffee space – that levels the ramp with a deck – and turns itself into bleachers. At the back of the room there are toilets and Questto|Nó’s maker space.

To get this cozy but sophisticated environment materials such as walnut wood and finishes in natural fibers, leather, fine fabrics, stone and concrete were used. As a way of welcoming, was created a space for coffee and bar in the waiting room which together with the furniture create sensations like to be in your own living room.

Acoustic treatment and furnishing have been used to bring a whole new sensorial experience. Grandstand, conventional refectory tables, and casual furnishing creates a space that can be used from a simple coffee break or even a meeting with the whole team.

Concrete and the wood burned Shou Sugi Ban allied to the new apparent metallic structure arrived the intended language. The project sought to deal with the nature of Goose Island Brewhouse: joining brewery and bar, two distinct programs from sanitary to flow issues.

More than 900 PET plastic bottles have been reused, rather than the usual fate of being thrown away in the environment, and transformed into delicate flowers. Hanging from the ceiling in wired modules, a total of 2,500 small flowers were individually hand painted in gold, nude pink and white by craft artist Rita Aranha, granting the personality and visual identity of the brand.

The clothes are exposed hanged by those ribbons, which have 5 different colors varying from shades of blue and green, over the walls in different heights so they all can be seen.
In the middle of the store there are tables and seats made of wood with details in orange tapes, which are also used to compose the products exposition.

On the left a living room was projected where you can seat, change books on the collaborative shelf or just wait for someone. It is made by metal panels that are able to receive plants and decorative elements and never look the same reinforcing the concept of reinvent according to new discoveries.

Despite of the traditional layout, we are able to use materials, textures and elements that help us “to break them up” as the “conduletes” in external metals that surround the work benches. The shelf in painted iron is the highlight of the environment, in black it keeps the work books that are used in day-by- day routine, collection objects and products made by YORK.

Warmer materials such as wood, wallpaper, carpets and fabrics were chosen to characterize a more welcoming environment. For women’s spaces, lighter shades were chosen in different shades of “skin tones” and different textures, and in the men’s “shoes room” the darker shades and use of natural textures such as leather, metal and brick are predominated.

Vintset, not only refers to the local area code (27), but it also is a result from the connection of two other words: ‘vintage’ and ‘set’. In order to exist, an experience needs to be located in time and space. ‘Vintage’ and ‘Set’ allude both these characteristics, respectively.

Our role was to develop a new visual identity, consistent enough to embrace very diverse subjects. For this, a new brand was created, joining the names of the two profiles.
