The sense of luxury is further boosted by a number of artworks and mirror-effect furniture, such as the Galet table by Guillaume Piechaud and Maria Pergay’s Gerbe table. The Dior Homme section shows full understatement and a matching palette of materials and colours that’s embellished by shiny chrome finishings.

An in-the-round central feature of gold powder coated discs and rails, on which key seasonal clothing and accessories pieces are showcased. Lipsy’s shoes and accessories offers are represented in-store for the first time. A gold metallic feature wall and padded pale pink seating create a luxurious, plush backdrop for this department, and key products are displayed on bespoke illuminated stands of white marble porcelain.

The lofty and light-filled ground floor presents Chanel’s highly coveted seasonal handbags, small leather goods, costume jewellery, scarves and glasses, as well as a selection of watches and jewellery pieces. At its core, a large concrete podium is situated, displaying a selection of ready-to-wear ensembles.

OIAM Boutique by NONG STUDIO, Shanghai – China

On the second floor, its function wanders between display and living room. The soft white window gauze builds a comfortable and gentle shopping experience. You can flip through VOGUE sitting in the Wegner shell chair or have small talks, slumping in the peacock blue vintage sofa in the VIP room.

The store features a monochrome palette, and is dotted with furnishings made from recycled materials by designer Stefan Leo, and pastel-coloured paintings of artist Jan Kaláb adorn the walls.

Dior store renewal, Madrid – Spain

The store occupies two floors and features an 18th Century-inspired setting that mimics the original Dior flagship boutique on avenue Montaigne in Paris, featuring modern furnishings with the Cannage motif and the gray tones favoured by designer Christian Dior serve to enhance the house’s creations.

The revamp, supervised by New York City-based architect Peter Marino, took almost three years, and has not only resulted in new interiors, but has also given the nine-storey building a striking new façade.

House architect Peter Marino was tapped to create a matching interior design, using the brand’s iconic colours of black, white and gold throughout the premises, alongside elements inspired by the lavishly decorated Coromandel Screens of Coco Chanel’s plush apartment on rue Cambon in Paris.

The setting on both floors is largely defined by a modern, clean aesthetic, captured by pristine white walls, timber flooring, cabinets and displays with glass tops, sleek chrome shelving and clothing racks. On the ground floor, Dior’s signature handbags are displayed, in addition to an assortment of small leather goods and accessories.

Being a Louis Vuitton Maison, the brand obviously has pulled out all the stops to turn any shop visit into a highly memorable one, instigating such an experience also through an infusion of art. The luxury house commissioned no less than 21 artworks by a number of leading contemporary artists from around the planet.

The interior design boldly takes cues from its former cradle, featuring tiled up surfaces and furnishings, and as if to flaunt an evolution of sorts, walls clad in matching vertical planking. The all-white interior is offset by suspended and moveable clothing racks in a bright red hue.
