The Lounge is a welcoming space for KOL presentations, gatherings, or a relaxing time around a cup of herbal tea. It is an oval-shaped-room with a floor pattern that extends to infinity. Upside-down water lilies lights are the focus point of the room.

We were inspired by the simplicity of a nail file while evolving the store concept. Layering, referencing and echoing the nail file throughout the design. The nail file shape softened the straight lines which ordered the stores functionality.

The concept narrative revolves around androgyny. A design that is not about being ‘pretty’ but embraces both masculine and feminine characteristics of beauty. It’s designed for a woman that is confident, someone who is on a same level playing field with a man. She can wear trainers or suit and still feel beautiful. The furniture within the space was carefully selected to reflect this.

An organic, curved and flowing design language creates the perfect environment for the Anna Jo customers. Curved walls gently lead customers down the hallway into the waiting rooms, and then further on into their treatment rooms. The fluid shape of the reception desk is inspired by the contours of the face, and is the star of the grand foyer.

The back splash to the ornate sink was gilded in gold leaf to add to the luxury feel. Sumptuous curtains cover the windows and a vinyl of the company logo adorns one wall, which faces a wall of brass picture frames filled with black and white imagery of Hungarian architecture.
