“BaLon.tre”, located in Chiba, Japan, was designed to indicate maximum openness in a narrow space. The movement caused by the combination of the ceiling louver and herringbone on the floor expanded the depth of the space.

Due to it is located in one of the most fashionable places in Japan, the inside of the salon is designed as a contemporary space with monotone. The main room which is based on white becomes highly bright by reflecting on the sunlight inserted through large windows.

The Lounge is a welcoming space for KOL presentations, gatherings, or a relaxing time around a cup of herbal tea. It is an oval-shaped-room with a floor pattern that extends to infinity. Upside-down water lilies lights are the focus point of the room.

We were inspired by the simplicity of a nail file while evolving the store concept. Layering, referencing and echoing the nail file throughout the design. The nail file shape softened the straight lines which ordered the stores functionality.

It’s designed for a woman that is confident, someone who is on a same level playing field with a man. She can wear trainers or suit and still feel beautiful. The furniture within the space was carefully selected to reflect this.

An organic, curved and flowing design language creates the perfect environment for the Anna Jo customers. Curved walls gently lead customers down the hallway into the waiting rooms, and then further on into their treatment rooms. The fluid shape of the reception desk is inspired by the contours of the face, and is the star of the grand foyer.
