Dimension Data Offices by M Moser Associates, Mumbai – India

An example of how the M Moser team instilled aesthetic expression in the design is the pièce de résistance in the open office area – the innovative ceiling. This was designed using a collage of acoustic ceiling modules in three different shades and sizes. The modules are wrapped above the work area, leaving the corridor ceiling exposed, to create a striking contrast while maintaining a cohesive design theme.

Guests at the entrance are greeted by a spectacular composition of huge concrete reception desk, and a stairway wrapped around it. Although the building is not industrial, solving the problem of saving, we avoided unnecessary decorations to the maximum and incorporated the existing building structures into the aesthetic concept of interior design.

Concrete and the wood burned Shou Sugi Ban allied to the new apparent metallic structure arrived the intended language. The project sought to deal with the nature of Goose Island Brewhouse: joining brewery and bar, two distinct programs from sanitary to flow issues.

Espace CDPQ Offices by Lemay, Montreal – Canada

A vertical, wood-panelled element connects the two levels in an organic fashion. Its central placement evokes a tree whose vast canopy shelters the laneway. The lustrous finish of this white canopy diffuses daylight, while artificial lighting is deployed like clotheslines across an alleyway. The fixtures follow the lines of the ceiling, which itself is designed to look like an inverted landscape.

The “imperfect finish” and natural hues of Malababa’s aesthetics strengthen the artisan and sustainable concept. All walls are rendered with a mix of Galician clay, white marble powder from Almería and totally natural, ecological and non-toxic food thickeners.

To reflect the traditions of making a rice dough, we used a wooden barrel as tables with a real rice grains inside. And to complete the overall concept, the bamboo rods were used as a ceiling feature with dimming technology that changes the café mood every minute. Simone’s soft approach to furniture selection and styling effortlessly compliments the vision. Piada restaurant by Masquespacio, Lyon – France

A space that transmitted the Italian origin from the product for sale needed to be designed, including its traditional elements and natural ingredients. The space above required to remind to the past, but through a modern aesthetic. Due to this since the beginning Masquespacio opted to use tiles with an artisan aspect, besides a range of elements like the golden bar lamps and arcs with mirrors that remember us to the traditional bars from the ancient Italy.

For the design of Sneaker District Antwerp, Barde + vanVoltt were inspired by sneaker design, the neighborhood and how sneakers are made. This resulted in a stand-out store showcasing a strong dark grey base on top of a concrete floor combining color, different materials, a touch of nature and some savvy street styles.

Using hues of blue and turquoise with neutral greys and white, the office feels light and fresh, inviting and energizing. The carpet is a strong element with geometrical patterns taking precedence as it is combined with playful shades of light blue. The motivational and inspirational graphics on the walls allow of a relaxed environment where work and collaboration are always celebrated and encouraged.

The main feature of the space comes from the choice to use only two colors (black and white) and few materials (iron, wired glass and resin). The workspace (graphic workshop and tattoo workshop) are white coloured, on the contrary the waiting room is black coloured.

To shape this universe we mixed different patterns and colours, golden and metal details with oak tables, we made transforming lights, which could be changed by the remote from cold to warm. We created the atmosphere of light chick and fresh classic.

These spaces loosely connect with each other and form a continuous open space around the central core, where one feels the light and city vibrancy everywhere. The floor level of this continuous space is highest at the executive room and artists room, which gradually descends to the lowest point at the entrance space and office on the south side.
