Biovet Headquarters by Atelier Serafimov Architects, Peshtera – Bulgaria

The separation of the panoramic offices has been designed with glass modular partition walls allowing reorganization of the premises whenever needed. The building has been projected to have raised installation floor and suspended ceilings assuring clear height of 3.00 m for the maximal comfort of the residents.

We blended both SAMSUNG’s existing innate identity in its strong corporate color as well as some various colors which came from the nature of those countries.

Interior double-height “lounges”, facing each of those hanging gardens and all possible associated uses, allow to make a welcomed transparency in the depth of the building and the plot. The play made here on the insertion of roughness allows to organize the building “Ampère e+” by offering it diverse uses and new timescales.

The main accent in the interior has been made on the preserved and restored walls of red brick. All new items and furniture have been designed in white and black colors to visually highlight the red brick in the interior.

This historic building required seismic re-strengthening to bring it up to code, and it was during this work that the beauty of the extraordinary brickwork and unique building structure was discovered. The previous use of the building to smoke fish is still discernible in the uniquely aged color of the exposed brickwork.

The facade of the town hall has been constructed using staggered, vertically projecting modules with photovoltaic cells and high-quality thermal insulation. Story-high glazed facade elements are used to optimize the intake of daylight.

One of the key elements in this project was to try to utilize the whole space in a functional and innovative way. Between the large columns along the entire façade, there are some interesting spaces, but they proved hard to furnish with traditional workplaces.
