Delta bicycle by Mokumono

Borrowing from the automotive industry, Mokumono has used a new technique where two aluminum sheets are pressed into form for the bike’s frame, and then laser-welded together. After building the first prototype from cardboard, the company experimented with 3D hubs to create 3D-printed and hand-built versions.

With an electric motor and a cantilevered seat that links back to the 98 cc model, the company’s first scooter launched in 1946, the Vespampère’s dynamic, light design nods to the slimmer, stylish Vespas rode by actors in neorealist films.

‘Nuum’ takes the classical form and progresses toward something new; in an homage to eames, Briscella adds the mathematical letter ’N’ — a non negative integer. ‘Geofrei’ is geometrical and free. ‘Seafoam’ is calming — the entire collection is one flush with history — past, present, and a 3D printed, highly optimized future.

The two chairs are built from polylactic acid plastic – a biodegradable, non-toxic material made from renewable resources like corn-starch, making it both lightweight and sturdy. Featuring a curved seat supported by a large, singular base, both pieces were 3D-printed with a pellet-extruder, which uses raw plastic particles rather than filaments.

As well as displaying incoming calls, texts and emails via a Bluetooth connection to the user’s mobile device, the Falster can combine with third-party applications like Google Assistant and Google Play to process voice commands and control external music outlets.

Vincent Degano first developed an interest in BMW motorcycles from an early age, as his father was a member of the French police and rode them. Today he customizes bikes in a scrambler style due to its relaxed riding position. He decided it was time to try something new and build a café racer, so he chose BMW’s ‘R100 R mystic’ for the job.

Crystallized Christmas tree at MIKIMOTO Ginza Main Store by we+, Tokyo – Japan

The 6-meter-tall Christmas tree was installed between two 2.5-meter-tall trees and all surfaces are covered by urea crystals. In order to achieve this snow-like fine surface, saturated solutions of urea was impregnated in the special paper pasted on clear acrylic and vaporized the moisture to crystallize.

While his last design looked to emulate a historical object, Arsham wanted the second shoe to reflect the present moment, and chose materials accordingly. The shoe’s textured sole is made from Ultra Boost – a bouncy material that Adidas often uses in running shoes.

The car is presented in “absinthe” – a color unique to the study – with interior leather in “blood” orange. Beneath the bonnet is a Porsche four-valve, four-camshaft, naturally aspirated, 500 hp air-cooled flat-six engine developed with consultation by Hans Mezger.
