A mix of 24 chain and independent restaurants serving the mall are brought together by carefully crafted design criteria to ensure a singular vision. The underlying theme is stylized street maps of the downtown city grid on bright red lacquered panels and custom laminated glass. The red grids are the signature element at the entrance and backdrop to the seating area.

Noma food lab by 3XN architects, Copenhagen

A historical re-vitalization design strategy was adopted to preserve most of the original building features with addition of new mezzanine structure to maximise the spatial potentials and turned the old warehouse into a hip F&B landmark.

Scala Vinoteca is a small restaurant, 100 sq. m., situated on a pedestrian stepped street as part of a residential neighborhood in the centre of Athens. The exact site is part of a steep undulating landscape located adjacent to one of the few green hills of the city, Lycabetus hill, giving it characteristics of a less urban area.

A custom made iron chandelier lit by 1/2″ incandescent light bulbs span the length of the bar area, establishing two separate areas for the bar and for dining. The back dining area is lit by linear pendant lighting. The place is energized by the controlled doses of red on the bar stools and brick oven, and further enlivened by the white Carrara marble bar and table tops.

The restaurant is located on the south-west corner of a office tower in Beijing CBD district. Design started in 2010 and construction was completed in early 2011. It covers a surface of 360 sqm. The space is characterized by the use of two strong walls, which visually define the space organizing the functional program: kitchen, dining areas, bar counter, pizza area, wine cellar and lounge corner.

At the Jaleo restaurant, Rockwell Group Europe took cues from Chef José Andrés’ Spanish roots and influences, with vibrant spaces such as a Paella Grill with whimsical bronze patterns of seafood, olives and napkins on the terrazzo floor; a main dining room surrounded by laser-cut fabric that echoes the traditional Spanish mantilla, and Bar Jose in the back which winks at Spanish surrealist techniques.
