Creative Exchanges by Nightingale, Antwerp – Belgium

July 6th, 2017 by Camra’s blog

Experimental marketing agency Nightingale will launch its brand-new flexi-working concept ‘Creative Exchanges’ in 2017. Nightingale’s head office in Antwerp happens to have ample room that freelancers can use for flexi-working. From copywriters to stylists and photographers: the 650 m2 area boasts two photo studios, a lecture arena, an office area, a living room, a studio, an experimental bar, and a showroom. So, what’s new? Freelancers don’t pay with money but with services.

Some freelance journalists prefer working in the company of others than on their own at home. Some stylists may like to update their administration in an area that suits their daily activities. Photographers sometimes want to experiment in a studio without having to make too much of an investment them-selves. Experiential marketing agency Nightingale provides all this by opening the doors of its Antwerp headquarters.

Self-employed people can barter texts, styling sessions or photo shoots to be able to use Nightingales’ infrastructure. You pay with your skills, not your money. For some time now, co-working spaces have been on the increase. It seems that self-employed people working from home sometimes also like to work in the company of others. Nightingale’s approach in its core business – “communication” – is very progressive and it wants to extend this method of working to the workplace.

“Expanding our creative network is very important to us,” says founder Stijn Nachtergaele. “As a freelance writer, you can pay for using our offices for an entire month by writing four publications for Nightingale’s clients. In this way, we get to know the free-lancer’s work and capabilities, while he or she will learn all about the ins and outs of our agency and use all our facilities. These range from internet connection to a photo studio and a showroom. It really is a win-win situation.
