LiveWire Harley-Davidson electric motorcycle

July 2nd, 2014 by Camra’s blog

With Project LiveWire, Harley-Davidson introduces its first-ever electric motorcycle. Coupling its own aesthetic with cues from sport bikes, the design sees an exposed trellis frame and dual-sided rear swing arm suspension as an electric motor – appearing partially exposed in a polished case – replaces Harley’s iconic V-twin.

Though currently in the concept stages with specs kept tightly under wrap, the American manufacturer promises “tire-shredding acceleration and an unmistakable new sound” from the bike. The experimental Project LiveWire will be making its way to 30 dealers along Route 66 beginning next week before being showcased in Canada and Europe in 2015.
